iPower Batteries and Electric One to Set Up Battery Health Check and Replacement Centers for 500 Electric Vehicles in India
iPower Batteries partnered with Electric One to set up 500 EV battery health monitoring and replacement centers in India in FY22-23. They claim to meet the needs of consumers of all popular EV models from top OEMs.
iPower Batteries Private Limited has announced its partnership with Electric One to set up 500 EV Battery Health Check Replacement Centers in India in FY22-23. The company says these first-of-its-kind outlets will ensure that electric vehicle batteries are checked in time and replaced with high-quality lithium batteries to avoid any accidents.
The partnership will set up 500 such centers across the country in FY22-23 and they will be jointly operated by Electric One and iPower Batteries. The company says these battery health check and replacement centers will meet the needs of consumers of all popular electric vehicle models from major OEMs, including Hero Electric, Okinawa, Ampere, Benling, Kinetic, Okaya, and more.
iPower also claims that they will provide these battery-related services at affordable prices and with extended warranties of up to 3 years. The training and awareness programs around battery testing and replacement will be conducted at iPower’s battery manufacturing and R&D (research and development) facilities in Kundli, Haryana.
Commenting on the announcement, Vikas Aggarwal, MD and Founder of iPower Batteries, said, “As EV battery manufacturers, we believe the recent wave of EVs catching fire also has a lot to do with raising awareness. people to the electric vehicle segment as a whole. Electric One plans to open 250 stores this fiscal year from its current store base of 82 stores with a massive focus on the South Indian market. Amit Das, Founder and CEO of Electric One, added, “The company plans to invest more than $15 million to stabilize the growing market through future technology and virtual dealership modes that are driving sales in the details of its dealer partners. Having streamlined sales efficiencies and supply chains with the right fit of quality batteries are some of the key areas to focus on.
