Huawei Watch GT Runner with 14-day battery life and blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) sensor launched
The Huawei Watch GT Runner debuted in China on Wednesday. The Chinese tech giant’s new smartwatch is said to be designed for physically active users. It is a sportier and lighter version of the Huawei Watch GT 3 which launched at the end of last month. The Huawei Watch GT Runner sports a 1.43 inch round AMOLED display and has a range of health monitoring sensors such as a heart rate sensor and a blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) sensor. The Huawei Watch GT Runner also offers more than 100 sport modes.

The new Huawei Watch GT Runner is priced at CNY 2,188 (around Rs 25,500). The Huawei smartwatch is currently available for pre-order and its open sale will begin on November 26. Interested buyers will be able to purchase the smartwatch through the Huawei V Mall, Huawei Experience Stores, major e-commerce websites, and authorized retailers. It comes in Dawn of Light (gray) and Starry Night Runner (black) color options. In comparison, the price of the Huawei Watch GT 3 is 1,588 CNY (around 18,500 Rs.).
Specifications of the Huawei Watch GT Runner
The Huawei Watch GT Runner runs HarmonyOS and sports a 1.43-inch (466 x 466-pixel) round AMOLED touchscreen with a 46mm bezel. It receives two buttons on the right side, the top button also acting as a dial. The Chinese tech giant’s new smartwatch offers a host of features that monitor user’s health through its TruSeen 5.0+ heart rate monitoring, blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) monitoring, sleep and stress monitoring. Besides, it also has more than 100 sports modes.
Connectivity options on the Huawei Watch GT Runner include Bluetooth v5.2 with a 2.4 GHz band and NFC. It also supports Bluetooth calling and requires at least Android 6.0 or iOS 9.0 to connect to smartphones. Onboard sensors include a gyroscope, accelerometer, compass, geomagnetic sensor, atmospheric pressure sensor, and the aforementioned health monitoring sensors. The Huawei smartwatch has an IP68 rating for resistance to dust and water (up to 50 meters).
The Huawei Watch GT Runner packs a 451mAh battery that can last up to 14 days with normal use and 7 days with heavy use. Huawei mentions that it can be fully charged in 2 hours. The smartwatch measures 46.4 x 46.4 x 11mm and weighs approximately 38.5 grams without the strap.
